Lejla at the Larry Moss Studio in “Beast on the Moon”
Cast and directed by Larry Moss during his infamous 9 hrs/day workshop (July 23 - Aug 2), Lejla is honored to tell the story about the horrific slaughter of 1.5 million Armenians, committed under the cover of World War I.
A multi-national award winner, Beast on The Moon is a rich, funny and compassionate play by American scribe Richard Kalinoski. In Beast on the Moon, an Armenian mail-order bride Setta (Lejla Hadzimuratovic) comes to Milwaukee in 1921 to begin a life with her new husband, Aram (Haaz Sleiman). However, both are tormented by the Armenian genocide. He desperately wants a large family, but she is barren from the years of torture and starvation she endured. Then a young stranger enters their lives and changes them forever.

"Occupation 101" wins Golden Palm Award at the Beverly Hills Film Festival
Lejla attends the screening of "Occupation 101", written, directed and produced by Sufyan and Abdallah Omeish. For decades many Americans have been deceived about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict that appears to be in a never-ending deadlock. “Occupation 101” is a film that exposes the root cause of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In addition, it explains the reality of the situation through the voices of the silent majority of Israelis, Jews, Christians, and Americans that are never heard in the mainstream media.
